3. Regularly clean the dust and dirt on the battery cover, pay attention to keeping the battery flat and clean, to prevent the battery from discharging on its own.
4. Do not let the battery be in a state of low battery for a long time, and develop the habit of charging the battery every night. Not necessary for a long time, it should be fully charged, placed in a cool and monotonous place, and charged regularly (usually for 10 days).
5. When starting an electric vehicle, use foot pedals (or push the ground with your feet if there are no pedals) to assist in starting. When going uphill, use foot pedals to assist the electric vehicle in going uphill to prevent excessive discharge current from damaging the battery.
6. When riding, be careful not to over discharge the battery. After the battery is discharged to the terminal voltage, continuing to discharge is called over discharge. Overdischarge can cause severe battery depletion and shorten its lifespan. Therefore, when using batteries, deep discharge should be avoided as much as possible, and shallow discharge and frequent charging should be achieved. Generally, it is better to charge the battery once when the discharge depth is 50%.
7. Prevent overcharging, stop charging when the charger shows full, and do not charge overnight or even for several days. Overcharging can promote the hardening and falling of the active material on the electrode plate, resulting in dehydration and deformation of the battery. The primary issue with battery operation during high temperatures is overcharging. Therefore, in summer, the temperature of the battery should be lowered as much as possible to ensure good heat dissipation, prevent charging after being exposed to cool sun, and stay away from heat sources.
8. Prevent prolonged power loss, as prolonged power loss can cause the electrode plates to sulfide. At low temperatures, the primary issues with charging are poor charging acceptance and insufficient charging, which can lead to battery depletion. At low temperatures, insulation and antifreeze methods should be used, especially when charging, which should be placed in a warm environment to ensure sufficient electricity, prevent irreversible sulfation, and extend the service life of the battery.
9. To prevent short circuits, special attention should be paid when using equipment or equipment. Insulation methods should be used for everything used. When connecting wires, electrical appliances other than batteries should be connected first. After inspection, there should be no short circuits, and the battery should be connected. The wiring specifications should be insulated to prevent cracking caused by overlapping pressure. Stop using battery short circuits to detect the charging status of the battery to prevent personal injury or death.
10. Prevent long-term high current discharge of the battery, which will greatly damage the internal structure of the battery. Advocate that car owners should not initiate for more than 5 seconds each time. Require two consecutive launches, with a time interval of 10-15 seconds between them.
11. Prevent exposure to sunlight, as it can increase the temperature of the battery and increase the activity of various active substances, affecting the lifespan of the battery.
12. The discharged battery should be recharged in a timely manner and should not be left idle for more than 12 hours.
