There are three main driving methods for electric vehicles: wheel drive, center drive, and suspension drive. Electric bicycles on the market are mainly driven by wheel hubs, which are better for rear wheel drive, while front wheel drive has relatively poor performance.

1. Standard type: This type of electric vehicle generally has a motor power of 150W, characterized by a simple and smooth design, a range of 40-50km, easy operation, moderate price, and a selling price of around 2000-2600 yuan. It is more suitable for users with longer commuting distances and certain mobility in work and life.   

2. Multi functional type: This type of electric vehicle generally adds front fork suspension, saddle suspension, headlights, electric horn, etc. on the basis of the standard type. Its characteristics are that it has more functions, is more comfortable to ride, and is also more convenient to use at night. The price is generally around 2500-3000 yuan.   

3. Luxury type: The characteristics of this type of electric vehicle are relatively novel and luxurious in appearance, with more comprehensive functions. Usually, an instrument panel is added to the handlebars to display speed, mileage, voltage, battery level, etc. Some are also equipped with turn signals, language prompts, rearview mirrors, toolboxes, safety nets, etc. The price is usually around 3000 to 3400 yuan.   

Specification selection

Electric bicycles are generally around 610mm in size, and currently manufacturing companies are designing and manufacturing 660mm or 560mm electric bicycles to meet the needs of consumers at different levels.   

Brand selection

Brand is a symbol of quality, and the quality level of different brands varies greatly. Consumers must choose brands that have been tested by authoritative departments and proven to have reliable quality, low repair rate, good after-sales service, and high reputation through practice when purchasing. Consumers can pay attention to the 'Credit Mark' issued by the China Bicycle Association on electric bicycles.   

Key points for on-site selection

1. Choose appropriate specifications, styles, and colors based on my actual needs and preferences.   

2. First, select the appearance quality of the vehicle, mainly looking at whether the trademark and decals are intact, and whether the surface quality of painted parts, electroplated parts, plastic parts, and aluminum alloy parts is satisfactory.   

3. To check the quality of vehicle assembly, it should be:

a. All kinds of screws are tightened in place and not loose.   

b. The handlebars, wheels, chains, cranks, and pedals should rotate flexibly, and the wheels should have a circular speed with minimal circular jumping.   

c. The handlebars, saddles, mudboards, hangers, and brackets should be installed upright or symmetrical on both sides, without any obvious deviation.   

d. Moving parts (such as chains, cranks, wheels, etc.) must not come into contact with stationary parts (such as chain covers, mud plates, etc.).   

4. The electric key and battery lock should be tested for safety, reliability, and ease of use. Electric door locks, battery locks, and toolbox locks should use a single key for convenience.   

5. Turn on the power switch, rotate the gear shift knob, check the power failure and braking effect of the continuously variable transmission and brake, and check whether the motor runs smoothly and the sound is normal.   

6. Multi functional and luxury electric bicycles also need to check whether all functions are intact and normal.   

7. Invoices, chargers, certificates of conformity, manuals, warranty cards, etc. should be collected and properly stored.
